Jazz Tree

I know its been forever before i have updated. I was getting pressure from everyone (becky)to update haha. It has just been so busy this month, but there is no excuses. One of my goals for the new year to update the blog more often. Well the story behind this tree is that we needed to buy a tree and decorations because it's our first Christmas together. When I asked Casey how we should decorate it, naturally he said that we should do a Jazz tree. He was shocked when I actually agreed to it and I'm glad we did. It turned out better than I thought and eventually when we have a bigger house, we can put it in the basement or something. Now if only this tree would help them get healthy and win some games!

Halloween

Even though we love Halloween, we didn't really think of what to dress up as. About an hour before we went to my uncle's house, Casey got out his old football jerseys from high school, so we were football players! We kind of did it as a joke at first, but it actually turned out better than we thought and was a lot of fun. Too bad not many trick-or-treaters came by our house because now I'm stuck eating all of the candy! Lucky me!

Weekend in frigid Salt Lake

So .... I (LaTisha) decided to take over the blogging from here on out. Casey said he's no longer an every day player and is only available as a pinch-hitter off the bench when needed (whatever that means, I think its baseball talk). I made him write all the other blogs, cause he is much better than me, but he snuck in the posts of my supposed diet and of me sleeping! Trust me he was in big trouble, ha!

So me and Casey went up to Salt lake last weekend. And it was so much fun...other than the cold weather! Friday we hung out with Casey's friends and carved pumpkins which I love to do! Saturday we went with Casey's whole family to the jordan river temple and then to dinner. I love hanging out with his family, they are so much fun! Sunday we went to the baby blessing of our cute little nephew Tage (sorry, we don't have a picture of him to post), and then back to good old St. George. We wish we could of stayed longer cause everytime we go it just flies by too fast!!

Strange Sleeper

We slept at LaTisha's parent's house recently and I took this picture when I woke up. This was not the first time I woke up to see her asleep with her arms above her head. In fact, she's probably in that position 90% of the time in the morning. I can't last more than 10 minutes with my arms above my head. My shoulders start to hurt and all the blood rushes out of my arms until I can't feel them anymore. Can anyone explain how she does it?

Chicago & Bryce Canyon

We were fortunate to spend 6 days in Chicago and stay with the Ackermans before they moved back to Salt Lake. LaTisha planned the whole trip. This is what it included:
- Bears/49ers game
- White Sox/Rays game
- Cubs/Nationals game
I didn't really get much say, because I would have loved to go to all those weird musuems and whatever else you do in Chicago. Okay, not really, the sporting events were my idea and we had a lot of fun. LaTisha really did get to plan some other activities, such as:
- 6 Flags
- Shedd Aquarium
- River boat tour of the city
- Sears Tower tour
Thanks again to Pete & Bekah for letting us crash their house and being our taxi drivers. They were excellent hosts and we recommend any of you staying at their house whenever you want and staying for as long as you want, because that is what we did.

Five days after we got back from Chicago, we went to Bryce Canyon with LaTisha's family over Labor Day weekend. We must be getting old because we really enjoyed the scenery, but the only others that seemed to enjoy it were her parents. Most of her younger brother and sisters just stayed in the car for at least half of the designated look-out spots, and her brothers fell asleep in the car. Some of the other highlights included spending a night in nearby Tropic and temporarily doubling the population of that city.

Inspired by Phelps

We are sad to announce the passing of Sandy Allen, who was recognized as the tallest woman in the world. She was somewhere between 7'7"-7'9". We all know Tisha is about a foot short for her age, but she is now determined to become the tallest woman in the world; look out Margo Dydek. She has been inspired by the domination of Michael Phelps in this year's Olympics, so she tried to find out his secret to achieve his high goals. That's when she came across his diet. Here's a look for those who haven't heard about it:

- Breakfast: three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise, two cups of coffee, a five-egg omelet, a bowl of grits, three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar and three chocolate-chip pancakes.
- Lunch: 1 pound of enriched pasta and two large ham and cheese sandwiches slathered with mayo on white bread - capping off the meal by chugging about 1,000 calories worth of energy drinks.
- Dinner:1 pound of pasta and an entire pizza. He washes all that down with another 1,000 calories worth of energy drinks. http://www.nypost.com/

LaTisha is now following this diet very strictly, hoping it will help her achieve her new goal of becoming the tallest woman in the world. RIP Sandy Allen.

Wedding Pics - 5 Months Late

We've been married almost 5 months already, so we decided it would be a great time to post some wedding pictures. We kind of compare it to how it is always fun to get a birthday gift late after the excitement is gone. Now that we've been married 5 months, no one cares and we're just another married couple like everyone else. This brings that excitement back, so that's why we've waited so long ... or maybe we just are really bad at blogging ... but the important thing is that we finally got it done. Next up for us--Posting our honeymoon pictures. Our goal is to get that done by 2009.

THANK YOU DAIANA

We were priveledged to have Jared & Daiana came down and visit this weekend. Daiana is unofficially known as the master blogger of the family, so naturally, she set up a blog for us yesterday. After much encouragement/nagging today, I agreed to post a comment, so here it is. We are both doing well, considering the Jazz won yesterday. Ask again tomorrow (or don't ask, depending on the outcome). We are loving married life and are looking forward to a happy future together.

We will try to make our blog cool like everyone else, and maybe update you on life. I hope you enjoy our two songs we have so far. Tish and I each chose one song. Try to guess which one is mine and which is hers.
